Description

A Grand Maison serving fine French cuisine with outstanding seasonal ingredients, in an extraordinary setting in Hakata
Located on the second floor of Hakata Riverain near Nakasukawabata Station in Hakata, Fukuoka, where he creates fine French cuisine unique to his restaurant by showcasing the best flavors from local ingredients from his home region of Kyushu.

Ingredients are carefully selected from some of the best local producers, such as ripened longtooth grouper from one of the three master fishermen in Fukuoka, and black figs from a producer in Saga who succeeded in growing the species in Japan. Vegetables are also selected with exquisite care, including Shiroishi lotus roots from Saga and Sadowara eggplants from Miyazaki. In addition, sustainable ingredients with their own stories to tell are incorporated into the dishes served at the restaurant. Citrus fruits are featured on many of the menu choices, taking advantage of Restaurant Hiramatsu Hakata’s deep knowledge of the many fruits grown in Kyushu.

The ingredients are sourced not only from France and Kyushu, but also from around Europe and Japan, to offer the best-quality seasonal variety with the effect of helping diners feel as if they were traveling the world through cuisine. This adventure of flavors is complemented by wines selected from some 1,000 bottles stored in the restaurant’s cave.

The interior is classic and modern. Guests can enjoy excellent food in an extraordinary setting adorned with flower vases by Émile Gallé and antique tables and furniture, whether dining in the main dining room at one of 10 tables, or in one of the private rooms (accommodating 2 to 30 people).

While the restaurant is perfect for celebrating special anniversaries with loved ones, guests are also invited to enjoy exquisite food and service at Restaurant Hiramatsu Hakata for a wide variety of occasions.
