Description

Traditional and innovative, the Grande Maison that has Japan’s oldest winery
Presquile is a French restaurant which opened in 2015 on a corner complex building by Midosuji, a main street in Osaka. It is directly connected to the Yodoyabashi subway station. Based on the concept of Basho-style haiku, they offer unique cuisine which preserves the classical style while adopting a new essence of cooking. It is a grande maison which has a reputation for excellent service.Chef Yasuji Sasaki gained experienced working in the restaurant Trente et Un in Kobe and the world gourmet guide award Alain Chapel in France. Customers can enjoy classical cuisine blended with modern elements and sense the Lyon / French style which he studied, such as the traditional pie dish Duck and foie gras torteau with rouennaise, which he inherited from his teacher Mr. Alan Chapel, or the chicken breast vegetable wrap, a classical dish from Lyon, which he prepares himself in front of guests. The cute sweets that are placed in a jewelry box on the dessert wagon is also very popular, guests are often amazed by the beauty of the small confectionaries.

Presquile also has the oldest winery in Japan, stocking a large variety including Maruki Grape wine. The restaurants stocks 2000 bottles of Maruki grape and French wine to match with the chef’s cuisine. We also recommend the unique grape, peach and pear wines.

There are 38 seats and a private room which holds up to 8 people. The calm, luxurious setting which blends classical and modern is perfect for entertainment and anniversaries. Customers with children may use the private rooms, so it is also a restaurant suitable for family occasions.
